Throughout my professional journey, I have been dedicated to the growth and success of various businesses, either by serving in leadership positions or offering my expertise as a consultant. I am deeply fascinated by the stories that define a business: the motivations of its founders, the reasons behind customer loyalty, and the unique market niche that the business can occupy. My goal is to help unveil these elements and craft a compelling narrative to grow the business.
My experience in new product and service development, product market fit, value proposition development, and go to market strategy and execution, combined with first hand knowledge of selling and integrating a scale up tech business gives me unique insight into the full lifecycle of a business.
I am currently pursuing my doctorate in business administration, focused on evidence based management. My area of research is sales, compensation, and motivation/reward systems. My passions encompass education, health, culture (particularly music), and both short and long-distance sailboat racing. I believe that these experiences are best shared with friends, family, and close colleagues, which makes me a highly relationship-oriented individual.

What are the best strategies for staying calm and focused during tight deadlines in Business Development?
On my desk I keep a compass and a clock. The compass keeps me focused on the main priorities of the day, so my "ship" doesn't get blown off course. The clock signifies how much time I'm spending on a given task. Stress comes from allowing other items into the time you've set aside for the critical tasks. Prioritize, stay focused, put the headphones on, and get the work done.

This paper aims to describe the specific challenges facing women in B2B sales, including pay discrimination, sexual harassment, bias, and lack of mentorship. The paper will also examine recommendations for organizations to overcome these challenges, such as building organizational support (Increase perceived organizational support, reduce sexual harassment, and eliminate pay discrimination) and improving talent pipeline and advancement opportunities (Promoting women to leadership positions, eliminating gender-coded language in job postings, building capacity through increased entry-level roles).

Thesis: Big Data, Big Decisions

The purpose of this research study was to research big data as it relates to decision making through current academic literature and consultants reports, then to interview firms to identify what managers wish to obtain from big data and where firms are on their adoption of data-driven decision making.
After reviewing the academic literature and conducting primary research, it is believed that there are knowledge gaps on how big data can provide firms a competitive advantage…The purpose of this research study was to research big data as it relates to decision making through current academic literature and consultants reports, then to interview firms to identify what managers wish to obtain from big data and where firms are on their adoption of data-driven decision making.
After reviewing the academic literature and conducting primary research, it is believed that there are knowledge gaps on how big data can provide firms a competitive advantage. Furthermore, while big data is on the list of almost all of the managers and executives interviewed, a very small percentage have implemented a big data program.

Taste of Nova Scotia is a unique, province-wide marketing program, whose 150 members treat locals and visitors to the most exceptional culinary experiences our province has to offer. To kick-off the 2015 summer season, with a Tourism Nova Scotia focus on culinary experiences, the two organizations launched the Good Cheer Trail – Canada’s first winery, craft brewery and distillery adventure, providing visitors with a culinary roadmap – and engaged Revolve to brand and bring the trail to life…
